Our pieces are an invitation to rediscover the richness of Mexican traditions through an innovative aesthetic that honors our roots and projects a contemporary vision of craftsmanship. We fuse art and design, preserving traditional artisanal processes and highlighting the colors and techniques that define Mexican craftsmanship, adapting them to modern urban lifestyles.
The result is a unique expression that we call Pop Crafts: a gateway to a modern aesthetic that evokes emotions, memories and the living legacy of our country's customs. These pieces are not just decorative objects but visual narratives that connect with those who experience them, inviting them to make these creations part of their identity. People find in them personal references, deep nostalgia, childhood memories and family traditions, while creating new moments and conversations full of color and joy.
We are a brand that reinterprets Mexican culture from a contemporary perspective, developing artistic pieces, design projects and memorable products. Color and paper are our main communication tools, bridges that bring our traditions closer to the new generations through innovative, accessible and sustainable proposals.
Additionally, we have integrated artificial intelligence as a key driver in our creative processes. This technology accelerates the generation of customized proposals, allowing us to explore new design possibilities and offer innovative solutions to our clients. The combination of traditional techniques with cutting-edge tools positions us as a brand that celebrates the past while building the future.
As part of our social commitment, we have developed an innovative technique that includes and empowers vulnerable people, enhancing their creative abilities and providing them with development opportunities. With this, we offer functional, aesthetically beautiful and environmentally friendly solutions, but above all, products that tell stories, reflect identity and carry the soul of Mexico within them.
Serpentina is a magical language that shares feelings, experiences and knowledge.

The women who collaborate with us are the heart of our production process. Their sensitivity to create, innovate and reconcile tradition with modernity gives life to each of our pieces. These women contribute not only with their hands but also with their stories and creativity, creating products that go beyond functionality to become unique artistic narratives.
For years, our local community, especially women, has been drawn to the vibrant colors and artisanal processes that define our work. Naturally, many of them expressed a desire to be a part of what was happening in our workshop. However, their daily responsibilities and contexts often made it difficult for them to fully integrate. In response to this reality, we designed a flexible and accessible work model structured on two levels: internal production within the workshop and external production from their homes. This structure allows the artisans to fulfill their family responsibilities while actively participating in a productive community that empowers them and provides them with economic autonomy.
The work process within the workshop encourages not only artisanal production but also the personal and creative growth of each artisan. Through a step-by-step learning system, they acquire technical skills and find space to incorporate their own ideas into the pieces they create.
First phase: Material preparation. The winders prepare the base materials, carefully working each roll to ensure the quality of the components.
Second phase: Creation of functional pieces. The artisans, following essential parameters, create functional pieces, but it is in the decorative work where their creativity shines. Each piece has a personal touch that makes it unique.
Third phase: Artistic production. The most experienced artisans create sculptural pieces that require more complex and extensive processes. These works transcend traditional craftsmanship and evolve into contemporary art, exhibited in museums and galleries as a testament to the talent and vision that emerge from our community.
We have integrated technology and artificial intelligence to optimize these processes, accelerate the customization of designs and enhance the creativity of our collaborators. These tools do not replace human craftsmanship but rather amplify it, offering new opportunities for artisans to explore, experiment and evolve their techniques.
Beyond being a production center, our workshop functions as a social support network, a safe space where knowledge is shared, bonds are strengthened, and future opportunities are built. The community that drives this project is young and dynamic, most of its members are between 22 and 60 years old. Here, art not only transforms materials but also lives.
Through our pieces, we build a bridge between tradition and the future, between handmade art and technological innovation, creating an impact that goes beyond aesthetics. We build community, empower women, and keep alive the essence of constantly evolving Mexican art.

INTERVIEWS

Yolanda Reséndiz and Jesús Rentería, industrial designers who graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Xochimilco campus, in 2000, have built a distinguished career with a profound influence from Mexican culture, which is reflected in each of their projects.
Among her most notable achievements is the Serpentina Collection, a brand that has been recognized and awarded at major events and exhibitions for its innovative approach and contemporary reinterpretation of traditional art. Her distinctive vision and meticulous attention to detail have been key to establishing her reputation in the design world.
The studio they founded is much more than a workspace; it is a creative laboratory, conceived as a blank canvas where their individual talents converge in perfect synergy. Their mission goes beyond the mere production of objects: they seek to create pieces full of identity, emotion and meaning, creating sensorial and memorable experiences. Each creation reflects their commitment to blending tradition and modernity, bringing an authentic and timeless touch to contemporary design.
